Before a BankAxept terminal can be rolled out, the terminal need to be certified. The POS and ATM Certification is divided into two parts:
- POS and ATM Functional and Interoperability Certification
- POS and ATM Security Certification
To carry out these certifications, necessary approvals must be in place, including terminal vendor approval and terminal security hardware approval.
The objective of the BankAxept POS and ATM Functional and Interoperability Certification is to ensure that a terminal supporting both contact and contactless, is working in compliance with BankAxept functional requirements, at any time.
The objective of the BankAxept POS and ATM Security Certification is to ensure that terminals offer the required level of service, acceptance, performance and security to BankAxept cardholders.
